Role of our Dispensary in Social change

In a village called Allur, our dispensary has been functioning in a temple, where there was no opportunity for entrance to Harijans. To eradicate this attitude our Seva Bharati elders met and discussed with the elders of the village and made them change their conservative mindset. As a result, all Harijans have started entering the temple freely. Our regional service coordinator Shri Ramreddy and block service leader Shri Venkatesh Sagar visited Hanapur LT and Hanapur SP in December 2004 and expressed appreciation on the working of the dispensary. On 18-01-2008 a Dharwad based NRI Shri Nagaraj Patil, who at present resides in USA visited a village called Bedar Budihal. He was accompanied by Shri ShreedharJi Nadgir, RSS Saha Pranta Karyavaha. Both observed our activities and profoundly admired our social service.

FEEDBACK OF BENIFISHARIES

  1. Ganapthi Nellur a senior citizen of Hanapur SP village – asserted that in his village there are more than 20 highly aged persons. Sons of those old persons have migrated in search of job to the metro cities. All those old persons are so cared by the doctors of Seva Bharati. Had a doctor of Seva Bharati not consulted timely these old people would have lost their life.
  2. Shivappa Kamtar a resident of Bedar Budihal village – opined that one of my leg was severely injured by hard hitting of a thorn. As a injury of a leg increased and was attacked by many works then I consulted a doctor at Badami. There I was told to undergo an operation. For which I had to pay a Rs15000. But I was unable to pay, then doctor of Seva Bharati directly came to my home and extended a necessary medical treatment with free of cost which gave me a quick relief in 3 months .
  3. Yelagurad Gouda Goudar A senior citizen of Injanvari village – reacted that once our village was affected by severe flood. Many of our villagers became shelter less and foodless. Under such circumstances the personnel of Seva Bharati provided food, clothing and shelter. It is absolutely a yeoman service.
